The celebration takes place at the iconic Mile-Long Pier, located at West Erie Avenue and Oberlin Avenue, where visitors can enjoy music, and a festive atmosphere as the sun sets.

Then, at dusk, prepare to be amazed as a dazzling fireworks display lights up the night sky over Lake Erie. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and loved ones for this cherished Lorain tradition. Early arrival is encouraged—don’t miss one of the city's most breathtaking events of the year!

Experience an unforgettable evening of music, views, and summer vibes at Ariel Rooftop Jazz at Sunset, hosted by the Ariel Broadway Hotel!

On Saturday, July 5th from 6:00 to 10:30 PM, enjoy smooth jazz high above downtown Lorain with stunning views of Lake Erie. The night features a live performance by The Band with No Name, a special guest set from Alvin Frazier, and emcee Big Tee Da Radical—all powered by Power 89.1 FM.

Tennis Day 2025 is back with two exciting FREE events for kids ages 6–11!

Whether at Lorain or Wellington, kids can jump into fun games and get a great introduction to tennis. No need to bring any equipment—just bring your energy and enthusiasm for a day full of active play and smiles!

Join Keep The Lakes Great for a meaningful and fun-filled day at the beach!

This community event invites all ages to help clean up litter from our local shores, starting at the concession stands near the sand area of Edgewater Beach in Cleveland. All cleanup supplies are provided—just dress comfortably and come ready to make a difference! After the cleanup, stick around for a beachside picnic with free food and great company.

And to top it all off, unwind with a relaxing yoga session led by instructor Ricky. Bring a mat, blanket, or towel and enjoy the positive vibes—everyone is welcome!

Say “aloha” to summer fun at the Aloha Beach Bash at Lakeview Park!

On Saturday, July 12th from 4–8 PM, Lakeview Beach transforms into a tropical getaway for the whole family. Hosted by Lorain County Metro Parks, this free, family-friendly event features hula lessons, lei-making, sandcastle building, and a hula hoop competition.

Enjoy live Polynesian dance performances by Pacific Paradise Entertainment and treat yourself to Hawaiian-inspired food and drinks from the Sunset Café.

Enjoy a summer evening filled with music, nature, and lakefront beauty at Lorain County Metro Parks’ Free Outdoor Concert Series!

Held on select Thursday evenings from 6–7:30 PM, June through August, these concerts offer the perfect way to unwind. Stroll through the Historic Rose Garden or bring a blanket and lawn chair to relax in the Event Garden, located just across from the Beach House at 1800 W. Erie Ave. As the sun sets over Lake Erie, enjoy live performances in a serene and scenic setting.

Celebrate culture, community, and excitement at the 3rd Annual Puerto Rican Day Festival at Oakwood Park on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025!

This year's celebration is a tribute to Rosie Garcia and kicks off with a vibrant parade at 1:00 PM, starting at 4111 Pearl Ave and ending at East 31st Street in Oakwood Park. The festival begins at 2:00 PM at 2047 East 36th Street, featuring live music, food trucks, DJs, dance troupes, and vendors offering a lively and authentic experience. Don’t miss the sanctioned boxing match, adding extra energy to the day's festivities!
